With all those Mac commercials, it really seemed like the end of PCs. Macs look cool and seem like they’re the monster machine and often they are, but PCs aren’t exactly dead and are actually doing quite well thank you very much.
We’ll talk about 3 advantages of buying a PC over a Mac in this article. If you’re a gamer, PCs are the way to. If you’re tight for cash, PCs are the way to go. And if you are looking for more software/programs, PCs are the way to go.
1) Gamers will love PCs
The world of gaming has been evolving and with so many MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) games nowadays, you need to have a PC since many of these games are not Mac compatible. If you are looking to play games like World of Warcraft, do not worry since that game is Mac friendly but for games like Lineage II, which has, amazing graphics cannot be played on a Mac. There are many other games that are not playable on a Mac.
If you’re deciding on which computer to buy and want to play different games, a PC is the way to go!
2) PCs are Cheaper
For similar firepower, there are a variety of computers that are cheaper than Macs. At the end of the day, Macs come from one company, Apple. PCs come from a variety of companies, which means there is a lot of competition. This also means that you are given a lot of choices in terms of choosing a great PC for a reasonable price.
If you’re limited on the amount of money you can spend on a computer, PCs are most likely the way to go. This is of course, unless you are planning on doing some design related stuff like graphic design for example in which Macs are superior.
3) More PC programs than Mac
Some don’t see this as an advantage but for the purpose of this article I’ll stick it in. In terms of numbers, PCs win over Macs for software/programs available. If there’s a certain type of software you are looking, there most likely is a version on PC that you can find. You might even be able to find it online for free on places like download.com where there is a lot of freeware or trials.
